Performer, Educator, Composer/Arranger & Repair Technician
From show bands, pit orchestras, recording studios, classrooms and instrumental repair technician, Paul Lechner’s musical career spans over 38 years. As a performer and session player, Paul has backed such greats as Poncho Sanchez, Bobby Showman Patterson, Carol Lawrence, Sonny & Cher, Bobby Vinton and Cozy Cole.
For over 28 years, Paul has shared his gift of music with students in various music education courses including Band, Choir, Jazz Ensemble, and Orchestra at numerous grade, middle, high school, and universities throughout Ohio, Montana, and Southern California. His many clinics and workshops on subjects ranging from “the elements of jazz” to “instrumental maintenance” will attest to his incredible talent and musicianship.
Paul became a member of Al Bedoo shrine in 1981 and was active in the Brass Band & Dance Band. In 1984, Paul moved to Southern California to peruse a teaching and playing career. After 19 years, he returned to Montana with his wife Norma and became active again in Al Bedoo shrine. He is currently playing with the Brass Band and Director of the Dance Band. In addition, to serving as U.U. President for 2 years (2007-2008) he is currently your High Priest and Prophet and Assistant Maintenance Noble. (squeak control)
Currently, Paul is owner of S&X Corp .Music Service, and is doing Woodwind & Brass repairs along with teaching private instruction on Sax, Clarinet, and Flute. In addition, he repairs for Hansen Music, Kirk House of Music in Billings, Montana and various school districts in Eastern Montana.
