Hospital Corps

 

 

Who: The Al Bedoo Shrine Hospital Corps is dedicated to developing an environment for finding, and helping children who are in need of specific types of medical care. The Hospital Corps provides patient parties twice a year.

 

What: Shriners Hospitals for Children is a one-of-a-kind international health care system dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Children up to the age of 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate are eligible for admission and receive all care in a family-centered environment at no financial obligation to patients or families.

 

Why: The children and their needs for medical care which is not available for them in any other venue is the major reason for the existence of the Al Bedoo Hospital Corps.

 

When: The Al Bedoo Hospital Corps meets at 9:00 am on Tuesday at Al Bedoo Shrine Auditorium in the Divan Room. The meetings are held to organize and develop the work of the Hospital Corps.

 

Where: The meetings are held weekly on Tuesday morning at 9:00 am at the Al Bedoo Shrine Auditorium. Meetings are also held at the screening clinics; patient parties and stated meetings.

 

How: The Al Bedoo Hospital Corps is developed in the same manner as any unit. There is a Chairman; Vice Chairman, Treasurer; and Secretary. The dues for the members are $10.00 a year and every member of Al Bedoo is eligible for membership.
